- 007 The dilatation generator measures the scaling dimensions of local operators in a conformal field theory. In this thesis we consider the example of maximally supersymmetric gauge theory in four dimensions and develop and extend techniques to derive, investigate and apply the dilatation operator. We construct the dilatation operator by purely algebraic means: Relying on the symmetry algebra and structural properties of Feynman diagrams we are able to bypass involved, higher-loop field theory computations. In this way we obtain the complete one-loop dilatation operator and the planar, three-loop deformation in an interesting subsector. These results allow us to address the issue of integrability within a planar four-dimensional gauge theory: We prove that the complete dilatation generator is integrable at one-loop and present the corresponding Bethe ansatz. ...

- 1016/S0550-3213(03)00406-1 We argue that existing methods for the perturbative computation of anomalous dimensions and the disentanglement of mixing in N = 4 gauge theory can be considerably simplified, systematized and extended by focusing on the theory's dilatation operator. ... We then go on to derive, for pure scalar states, the two-loop structure of the dilatation operator. ... We also put to use the recently discovered integrable spin chain description of the planar one-loop dilatation operator and show that the associated Yang-Baxter equation explains the existence of a hitherto unknown planar ``axial'' symmetry between infinitely many gauge theory states. ... Assuming that the integrability structure extends to more than two loops, we determine the planar three-loop contribution to the dilatation operator. ...

- As it became apparent that the disease occurred in psittacines other than macaws, a more general terminology was used to describe the syndrome, including proventricular dilatation syndrome, psittacine proventricular dilatation syndrome, psittacine wasting syndrome, proventricular hypertrophy and proventricular dilatation disease. ...
- Various terminology also has been used to encompass the pathological features of this disease, including neuropathic gastric dilatation of Psittaciformes, myenteric ganglioneuritis, proventricular and ventricular myositis, psittacine encephalomyelitis and infiltrative splanchnic neuropathy. ...
- Proventricular dilatation disease is used to describe an inflammatory response characterized by the accumulation of lymphocytes and plasma cells in the nervous system, especially the nerves that supply the muscles in the proventriculus and other digestive organs including crop, ventriculus and small intestine. Additionally, the possibility of sequelae other than proventricular dilatation, such as serositis and central nervous system (CNS) involvement, without changes in the nerves of the ventriculus or proventriculus, has been reported. ...
- Ultrasonic examination may be used to demonstrate dilatation and impaction of the proventriculus. Endoscopic examination may show impaction, ulceration and dilatation of the proventriculus. ...

If a dilatation has a fixed point C, the dilatation is known as a central dilatation and the point is known as the dilatation center. - Central Dilatation.
- A central dilatation is sort of like mapping a shape on a plane onto a plane parallel to it. ... A mapping δ on a euclidian plane is a central dilatation iff δ is a dilatation with a fixed point, known as the dilatation center C. Since δ is a dilatation, it maps any line to a line parallel to it, and a vector changes by a nonzero constant r called the dilatation ratio. A central dilatation can be expressed as: δC,r(X) = r(X - C) + C = rX + (1-r)C Hence δC,r(X) is a linear combination of X and C. When the dilatation center happens to be on the origin (C = 0), the simpler expression is: δr(X) = rX Source: "Vectors and Transformations in Plane Geometry" by Philippe Tondeur, Publish or Perish, Inc. ...
