• Voi non lo sapete, ma i Rage si sono trasferiti in Italia, e per la precisione a Legnano, in provincia di Milano!! A parte gli scherzi, recensire questo mini degli Hyades, formazione nata nel 1996 e con gia' due demo alle spalle, è stato come recensire un album della band teutonica sopracitata! I nostri 4 musicisti milanesi (nel mini manca un bassista ufficiale, ma sul sito ho visto che lo hanno trovato - nd EvilEnry) sfornano un prodotto davvero ben fatto, proponendo un power metal con i controcoglioni (non puttanate stracommerciali o iper tecniche) che attinge a piene mani dal meglio degli anni '80, primi fra tutti i Rage e altri gruppi tedeschi come Grave Digger e Running Wild! Non c'è spazio per virtuosismi inutili (la band è comunque molto preparata), i nostri sanno che per suonare buon heavy metal bastano poche cose: .
• Ed ecco che arriva la canzone piu' bella del lotto: "Night time remorses", questa è davvero una figata di canzone!! Figlia degli anni '80, si caratterizza per il suo essere cosi straordinariamente metal, da far quasi commuovere!! Arrivate al ritornello e godete!! E ascoltate come il signor Marco Colombo interpreta il pezzo: un cantante piu' azzeccato gli Hyades non potevano trovarlo, ha una potenza incredibile e rende al 1000%!!!!!!! Il mini si chiude con la potentissima "Rush of deathbringers", che racchiude potenza, melodia ed epicita' da vendere!! Le chitarre formano un vero e proprio muro sonoro, aiutate in questo dall'eccellente prova di Omar Ceriotti, batterista davvero in gamba, che decidono di infrangere con improvvisi squarci melodici! Bravi davvero! Un'ultima cosa la vorrei dire per sottolineare la grande professionalita' della band: il mini è registrato in maniera perfetta!!! Sembra di ascoltare un qualsiasi album di un gruppo super famoso! I suoni sono mostruosamente potenti!!! Anche la confezione, per quanto io sia in possesso di una copia promozionale, dimostra di essere molto curata, il che testimonia il fatto che il gruppo oltre ad essere molto in gamba è anche molto intelligente e sa che per farsi notare è necessario offrire un prodotto competitivo in tutto!!!! Bravi ragazzi!!! A voi, avidi lettori, consiglio vivamente di contattare la band, una bella iniezione di buon sano heavy metal non fa mai male, no? Che ne dite? .
